
The unit is responsible for support of IT systems in KAMSC and member services that provide various critical functions: computerised patient information and recall systems (Project Ferret); office and communications software; Medicare billing; accounts/payroll and electronic banking systems; a student data-base; and graphics/design software.
In addition to providing help-desk and network support functions, the unit is involved in strategic planning for IT needs, software product testing (Ferret versions); data-base conversions; advising on and ordering computer hardware and software, negotiating and maintaining software licences and local staff training. |
